Uniprep C&B Set

The rational preparation set for conventional and Innovative reconstruction systems

Uniprep is a new set of preparation diamond burs for use in crown and bridge prosthetics. The set consists of 10 different FG-forms which are primarily intended to be used by the postgraduate level.

The ideal relationship of size. form and coarseness grade of the diamonds enables a biorational (tooth substance and time-saving) reduction of dental material. Because of the equal, compact and regular arrangement of the diamond chips every bur ensures optimum cutting efficiency and durability

1. Indication

For preparation of full veneer and partial crowns, encompassing all kinds of preparation principles.

2. Build-up and range of application

2.1. Preparation

The diamonds used to reduce abutment teeth circumferentially have a constant coarseness grade of 75-90 µm. Due to their constant standard diameter of 1.2 mm they permit the intended and individually chosen preparation form. This includes conventional reconstructions (full cast crowns, porcelain veneer crowns) and the new metal-free crown systems (AlzOa-Ceramic). The applications of the remaining preparation diamonds are listed in section 2.3.

2.2. Finishing

The finishing burs include uniform fine diamonds and a beveled diamond with coarseness grades of 36-42 urn. They finish all preparation surfaces and leave an optimal base for further clinical and laboratory steps (impressions, cast construction, cementation).

2.3. Description of the Instruments

Preparation diamonds (metallic shank)

Finishing diamonds (golden shank)

1

For interproximal separation in defining the working field. (1)

2

3l/4036*Forthe preparation of orientation grooves as the base for a circumferential shoulder preparation. For occlusal or incisal abutment reduction. For inlay or onlay preparations. (2/3)

32/4037*Forthe preparation of orientation grooves as the base for a circumferential chamfer preparation.

33/4038*Forthe preparation of orientation grooves as the base for a circumferential rounded shoulder preparation.

3

4

34/4039*For the lingual reduction of anterior teeth and the occlusal reduction of posterior teeth. For the occlusal adjustment. (4)

5

4035 For circumferential beveling and the simultaneous finishing of all types of preparations. (5)

* The equivalent diamond with the same form and size serves in finishing the prepared surface.

3. Instructions

All the diamond burs can be used in the middle (10-60,000 r.p.m.) and in high speed ranges (up to 400,000 r.p.m.) under generous waterspray.

An optimal and dull finish is achieved using the red-ringed handpiece in the middle-speed ranges.

The standard diameter of 1.2 mm ensures the intended reduction of tooth substance
